thanksgiving 2016. spent by myself in reflection over those at standing rock protesting the protection of what little land they have left after our forefathers and those that came after slowly took everything away, minus their culture.
my trip to the resistance museum in amsterdam, where i saw what the nazis did to the jews and dutch who tried to protect their fellow man by helping those in need with fake papers, shelter, smuggling them out etc. there was a registry installed for jews to sign up or else… in turn only making their demise more convenient for the nazis. i left that museum speechless, heartbroken but with a ray of hope knowing how one person can turn into two and so on to say Stop. No. You will not.
in every country i’ve visited, while not many, for every visit to see the palaces where presidents, kings, and queens lived, i’ve uttered the same words, “on the backs of the poor”…
what is going on today? not the poor rising up but many who see the opportunity to unleash their pent up hatred, bigotry, and misogyny. in my opinion, this is the true nature of these folk finding release via a very vocal “president” with the same character. the only difference is that he has power to act…and has the power to cash in.
be ready to accept the consequences of that which you have risen up. me?
i will no longer remain silent or seated.
