they mailed the ashes when i had arranged to pick up the ashes and use the long drive as closure. i didn’t want him manhandled by ups, thrown around like he didn’t matter. in the bag, i found another’s tag. is it really him in the box? or someone else.

they took the peace i was looking for. how do you reconcile this?

  1. Have you contacted them? If there has been a screw up, then someone else received the ashes intended to go to you. They may have already contacted the crematorium about this. I truly hope this can be reconciled. I’m supposed to pick up Daisy’s ashes this week, and you’ve given me cause for concern.

    1. I called them. The bag also had Vinnie’s info. They had no clue how or why the other tag was in the bag as well. She reassured me that the info stays with the pet throughout the process but didn’t guarantee 100% the ashes were Vinnie’s. The person said they’d call me to arrange the return of the other tag but hasn’t as of yesterday… so… I may call them back to see what’s up. I am still very upset they mailed his ashes when I specifically requested to pick up.
